JEWSON.net is my personal website.
I registered this domain in 1999, primarily to take control of my email. I had previously been using my Internet Service Provider's email service, but wanted the freedom to change my ISP without the hassle of changing my email address.
Since then, a range of free email services have become available. These solved the problem of ISP lock-in but created a new problem instead:
If you are not paying for it, you're not the customer; you're the product being sold.
I still use this domain for email. More recently, I have also been using it to create to learn how to create a website using Drupal, the open-source content management platform.
